│Artist Statement│
Life is bitter, so “Sisters”are sweet. Sisters could be you, me, the Buddha, everyone, and a whole, ourselves.
My creation is usually of realism. I have never documented dreams. The work is not a reflection or refraction of the dream (＊1), and is not transformed by any outer trend of the generation, either. Instead, it comes from my inner, as the manifestation of mind and the transformation of consciousness. It is a work of the infinite present, of the finite time; it is the original of hardship, of nightmares, of life and death, of Eight Consciousnesses, of us, and of the entire cosmos; it is also the original of love, and the noumenon of the Essence of Mind. It is the appearance of the idea that the Essence of Mind and the phenomena are bonded, also the perfect fusion.
The works from “Sisters” truly record the personal life, like a girl’s documentaries. Having been living so far some thirty bloody years, I document the original of life, trough the realistic depiction of emotions, life, line work, and the spirit.
The reality of life is a fantasy, that is, hardship. Therefore, I represent it realistically. I picture the reality of suffering, and the real life fantasy.
“All the living and oneself are a whole, the Essence of Mind, so-called the true mind, where all things within the universe emerge. So, set Buddha Dharma straight, the work is nothing but to know oneself. And how much are there to know? You’ll become a Buddha as long as you know the complete universe as your own.”－Master Chin Kung
The series of “Sisters” represents the truth of the life-and-the-universe noumenon, that “one in all and all in one. The universe and oneself are a whole.”
＊1. “I have never documented dreams. The work is not a reflection or refraction of the dream.” The words are stated specifically regarding arts. The work is just the manifestation of mind and the transformation of consciousness, and the idea that the Essence of Mind and the phenomena are bonded, too. In the past, I once said that“I depict dreams only.” in the aspect of the life-and-the-universe noumenon. The statement actually referred to the suffering life, as unrealistic as a dream. It was not saying that there was tendency of surrealism in my work.

│創作自述│
生命是苦的，所以「姊姊妹妹」是甜的。姊姊妹妹，是你，是我，是祂，亦是佛，是每一個人，是一個整體，是我們自己。
我的作品向來是寫實主義的作品。我從不記錄夢境，這些作品非幻夢的投影折射（＊１），亦非外在時代潮流的牽引轉化，而是來自內在的心現識變──它是當下（無限的）的作品，是時間（有限的）的作品；它是痛苦的原型，是惡夢的原型，是生命的原型，是生滅的原型，是阿賴耶識的原型，是你我的原型，是整個宇宙的原型；亦是愛的原型，是自性本體──是為性相不二，圓融一體的顯現。
「姊姊妹妹」真實的記錄個人的生命與生活，彷若一位少女的生活紀錄片。在至今三十餘年血淋淋的生命經驗之中，透過情感的寫實，生命的寫實，線條的寫實，靈性的寫實，以及痛苦的寫實來真實記錄生命的原型。
人生的實相是幻夢一場，夢境即苦痛──所以寫實，寫痛苦之實，寫人生幻夢之實。
「一切眾生跟自己原本是一體，一個自性。自性也叫真心，整個宇宙萬事萬物都是這個真心變現出來的……。所以佛法說穿了，沒有別的，就是『認識自己』。認識到什麼程度？認識到整個宇宙是自己，那就成佛了。」──淨空法師
「姊姊妹妹」系列作品透過人物造型多樣的表現形式來簡單的體現「一即是多，多即是一，宇宙跟自己是一體」的人生宇宙本體實相。
＊１「我從不記錄夢境，這些作品非幻夢的投影折射」──這句話是針對藝術流脈來說。作品本身（現實與夢境亦皆是幻象）即是心現識變的幻象，在這裡亦做為性相不二的體現。過去我曾說「我只描繪夢境」──這句話是站在宇宙人生實相的角度來說，指虛幻如夢的苦痛人生，而非說我的作品傾向超現實主義。
